As a Pricing Solutions Consultant in Global Parts Pricing with focus on dealer pricing capabilities, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate project leadership, analytical, and relationship building skills. This role will work with Caterpillar’s dealer and internal partners to access and further develop dealer’s parts pricing capabilities. The role will be responsible for creating and maintaining improvement progress in dealer pricing capabilities, assessing dealers, and building strong relationships to drive profitable parts growth. In addition, further identifying capabilities gaps driven from Price Value Assessment results.

Responsibilities:

+ Assess dealers’ pricing strategy documentation, processes, and performance to identify areas of improvement.

+ Develop, implement, and monitor strategies and support material to improve dealer pricing capabilities.

+ Work with business partners to ensure metric alignment while enabling dealer to enhance their pricing capabilities.

+ Build strong relationships with dealerships to understand their aftermarket pricing requirements and challenges.

+ Collaborate with internal teams to develop pricing tools, allocate resources to close potential gaps in dealer pricing capabilities.

+ Track and analyze key metrics to measure the effectiveness of dealer pricing capability initiatives.

+ Create benchmarks and provide training sessions for dealers on pricing capabilities best practices.

+ Continuously evaluate and refine dealer pricing capabilities strategies based on feedback and performance.

+ Advises on advanced data gathering and analysis methodologies and technologies.

+ Oversees data gathering and analysis activities within the organization.

+ Documents sources and validates the accuracy of data analysis by evaluating the pros and cons of data analysis methods used.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking

+ Identifies, obtains, and organizes relevant data and ideas.

+ Recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes concerns.

+ Perform dealer capabilities assessment and set action plan to close gaps.

Effective Communications

+ Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness.

+ Makes oral presentations and writes reports needed for own work.

Negotiating

+ Focuses on issues rather than personalities.

+ Uses active listening and probing techniques to surface problems, issues, and interests.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field.

+ Proven experience in pricing, sales, or related field, preferably in an industry Caterpillar serves.

+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationship with business partners and dealers.

+ Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

+ Looking for candidate that would bring industry and operational knowledge specifically to dealers’ aftermarket process and needs.

+ Experience working with Caterpillar’s Dealers.

+ 6-8 years of experience in parts pricing, or roles in aftermarket department

+ Teamwork oriented, results driven.

+ Open to change and continuous process improvement nature.

+ Knowledge of Caterpillar products, Product Applications or Merchandising programs

Additional Information:

+ Travel requirements may be up to 20%.

Territory Details

+ Peoria is the preferred location, but we will consider any candidates within a 50-mile radius of a Caterpillar facility in the United States.

+ Domestic relocation support available.
