We are looking for an experienced Senior Distributed & OpenText Exstream developer with a strong track record on development, design and maintaining OpenText Exstream applications for both real-time and high-volume batch applications.

The Client Reporting Technology (CRT) group champions innovative and scalable technology solutions to deliver a superior client communication experience, through multiple delivery channels. Some of CRT’s software products include brokerage and bank statement applications, letters, tax documents, trade confirmations, operational and marketing communications, and regulatory forms.

In this position, you will lead scrum teams to develop and enhance Customer Communications Management platforms based on OpenText Exstream. Your responsibilities will include discussing requirements with Product Teams, helping shape the product vision with internal and external stakeholders, implementing new add-on products and features, ensuring CRT’s architectural and design governance is applied, coordinating upstream and downstream system integrations, and improving CRT’s overall development and deployment pipeline for the OpenText Exstream product suite.

What you’ll do:

We are looking for a Senior Developer who has a strong development background and is enthusiastic about leading development teams to enhance and streamline our existing communication applications as well as increase our efficiency through tooling enhancements, process improvements and overall platform modernization. You will be specifically responsible for leading the development effort on OpenText Exstream and Distributed application for the respective platform, implementing, administering, and maturing our OpenText Exstream design and run-time environments.

The role will focus on the following areas:

+ Lead all aspects of Development on Distributed applications and OpenText Exstream based customer communications management platforms.

+ Executing – Build and release coordination, deployment tactics, and issue management.

+ Process Improvement/Automation – Tool/feature adoption and improvements, process automation and innovation.

+ Risk Assessment – Code review and approval processes, scope management, and delivery quality.

+ Coordination with Product managers and stakeholders for technical solutions to support the Product roadmap

+ Lead and provide technical guidance to geographically dispersed tech team to design and deliver solutions

+ Design scalable solutions for ultra high-volume applications

What you have

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering OR related degree and/or practical experience

+ Professional level expertise on OpenText Exstream suite of products and Customer Communications Management systems

+ Professional level Java web and service development skills, typically built through 8+ years of applicable experience developing in Java/Spring

+ Experience participating as a member of a scrum team in an agile environment.

+ Experience with Distributed applications, Unix, Shell scripting and batch applications

+ Experience with CCM best practices in both digital (web, email, SMS, mobile) and traditional (print) delivery channels, including design considerations for both (ex. dynamic content scaling on mobile, real-time vs. batch delivery by channel, considerations for print/insertion operational efficiencies, etc.)

+ Strong understanding of high-volume batch processing, job scheduling, horizontal and vertical scaling concepts, and best practices.

+ Experience with CI/CD Pipelines using Jenkins/Bamboo etc. and Source code repositories like Git, Bitbucket etc.

+ Expereince with Schwab programs and processes

+ Strong communication skills:

+ Ability to engage in synergetic application and platform architecture design sessions

+ Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.

+ Enthusiastic relationship builder: ability to partner multi-functionally and work efficiently with different levels and functions within an organization.

+ Experienced in working with/leading Geographically dispersed team that operates across time zones

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with leading development on OpenText Exstream, Customer Communication Management Systems and document rendering

+ Experience implementing various input/reference/connector formats supported by the Exstream product, including but not limited to – Flat files, XML, MQ, SOAP, JSON, ODBC/JDBC, Custom DDA implementations

+ Experience implementing and detailed structural troubleshooting of various multi/omni-channel output formats, including but not limited to – AFP, PDF, XML, HTML5

+ Experience with frameworks such as Java, Java Core, Spring

+ Experience with distributed multi-tier applications, WMI, NoSQL databases, MongoDB and/or SQL is preferred

+ Knowledge of Web Content Management Systems

+ Experience with cloud technologies such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry is a plus

+ Understanding of Control-M, legacy and Mainframe based applications is a plus
