You will be accountable for sales of PAPI Growth Industries Solutions, Process Automation Process Industries (PAPI), driving sales volumes and margins. You will be responsible for the sale of products, systems and services within the specified region( Midwest), directing the evaluation of commercial and engineering aspects of customer requirements. You will develop and implement sales strategies along with the industry leads, designed to satisfy those customer requirements while achieving maximum profit margin and customer satisfaction. 
As this position is for account management for the five segments in the region, Metals, Food & Beverage, Data Centers, Batteries and Cement, a combination of strong skillset in more than one segment is an added advantage. Each segment area requires knowledge and experience background as listed: Data Centers: Energy/Power Management Systems and Building Management Metals Segment: In depth knowledge in steelmaking with emphasis on Primary Metals (Melt Shop), Hot Rolling Mills, Cold Rolling Mills and Processing Lines Food & Beverage (F&B) Segment: Automation system solution for Breweries, Diary, Sugar and Ingredients Batteries: Knowledge in upstream, cathode, anode material and cell assembly Cement: Raw Material Handling, Kiln and packaging

13Your responsibilities

Manage regional sales activities to achieve assigned order intake, margin and other objectives, within budget.
Ensure that business opportunities are recognized, and the business units are positioned to take full advantage of those opportunities.
Manage all business clients to support regular communication, resolve queries and develop growth strategy across portfolio.
Support and collaborate with sales team across NAM (North America) region for client opportunities to increase revenue by promoting our product / solutions innovations.
Use knowledge of the market and contacts in the industries, identify and develop new customers and external selling partners.
Act as a marketer/business developer/Salesperson for all market business units Data Centers, Metals, Food and Beverage, Batteries and Cement Monitor sales and sales support activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
Ensure availability and effective use of electronic equipment for communicating, processing reports, developing spreadsheets and managing customer databases.
Provide counsel and play a key role in meetings with senior managers to develop sales strategies, plans and schedules. Monitor regional sales activities to achieve assigned sales, margins and related objectives.
Your background

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required and minimum 8 years of industrial experience
Travel up to 50 percent may be required for the first year in role to build client relationships
Significant knowledge of engineering principles, technical sales experience, knowledge of automation products/systems, understanding of project schedules, managing technical support personal to delivery cohesive message to customer.
Knowledge and customer relationships in Data Centers and one or more of the following industries F&B, Battery, Cement or Metal in the region is preferred.
Knowledge in automation and electrification systems including AC/DC drive experience preferred.
Ability to demonstrate patience when conflicts occur and be able to assist in resolving all conflicts in the most advantages manner for the business to succeed.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
