Aon Is Looking For A Benefit Counselor
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Health & Benefits business group within Aon Consumer Benefit Solutions. As a Benefit Counselor you will report directly to the Enrollment Manager.
This position can be worked virtually from home anywhere in the Continental United States.
We have two shifts available for this role:
Monday through Friday 9am-6pm (and other shift days or times requested)
Monday through Friday 12pm-9pm (and other shift days or times requested)
Your Impact As A Benefit Counselor
Job Responsibilities:
Elevate the benefit knowledge and enrollment experience of the nation's workforce.
Communicate and enroll multiple cases.
Explain and enroll employees in core benefits and voluntary benefits.
Answer incoming calls and/or place scheduled outbound calls or return calls from messages left at the required staffed times.
Enter information accurately into the enrollment program. Complete applications accurately with all required information. Mail correct information to the correct customer.
Explain each benefit in detail. Must explain all voluntary benefits in detail and promote features and benefits.
Ensure all benefits, coverage levels, dependents covered, and deductions are reviewed with and confirmed by the employee. Ensure survey is completed.
Ensure all enrollment information is saved correctly, even if a partial enrollment was completed.
Follow after call Thank you process
Complete the Daily Counselor Reporting duties.
Maintain acceptable Quality Assurance monitoring score of 90%.
Provide suggestions to improve virtual enrollment experience.
Attend orientation training and specific case training.
Keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
Maintain flexibility and perform all duties as requested by manager.
You Bring Knowledge and Expertise
Required Experience:
3 + years of experience in Customer Service and/or sales experience in person and over the phone.
Must have remote working experience with a private, quiet place to conduct calls.
Must be licensed or able to be licensed in Life and Health Insurance within 90 days of hire.
Experience working in a fast paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.
Experience setting priorities and managing work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
Experience working in a team environment including maintaining cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts.
Good communication skills including the ability to cooperate purposefully and provide information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.
Preferred Experience:
Bi-lingual Spanish
Virtual technology experience
Ability to manage and enroll multiple software platforms
Previous benefits experience
Strong Microsoft Office and technical skills
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
