Job Description
CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Buffalo Grove, IL: Digital Development Engineer to design and develop digital software applications and platforms. Duties include: Work on and assist with Safe Agile development process; Collaborate with Architecture team, Engineers (Developers & Testers), Scrum Master and Product teams to implement new features to company web applications and platforms; Participate in PI Planning, sprint planning, demos and sprint retrospectives; Provide system support after hours as necessary after critical deployment or App release; Handle multiple projects/teams simultaneously, meeting deadlines while managing priorities and communicating progress; Provide cross-functional support as a member of a sprint team; Develop core capabilities, advanced technology/solutions, providing technical leads for projects, utilizing modeling and simulations (M&S) capabilities, establishing engineering processes and best practices, providing technical leadership to all key programs; Build continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), test-driven development, and production deployment frameworks; Troubleshoot complex data, features, service, and/or platform issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve product and operational issues; Lead conversations with infrastructure teams on digital application requirements (e.g., configuration, access, tools, services, compute capacity, etc.); Provide advisory services on application, infrastructure, integration, data and security components; Partner with business and product management counterparts to define and prioritize opportunities to improve value creation and align on shared KPIs to measure success; Deliver solution and engineering services as assigned, preparing conceptual and logical architecture diagrams to align technical direction and document future state architectures; and Support the evolution of the design and Engineering of Rx while implementing new system capabilities. Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience in each of the following: Core Java; Java/J2EE technologies; Jenkins CI/CD integration; REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs; Spring Core, Spring MVC, or Spring Tool Suite(STS); and IBM Websphere.
