The Senior Research Sales Executive for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is an exciting new and entrepreneurial position within Beckman Coulter Dx. The mission of the Senior Research Sales Executive (RSE) is to create institutional demand for Beckman Coulter’s Research Use assays for neurodegenerative diseases and companion instruments that can assist in discovery of new and novel therapeutics to address diseases like Alzheimer’s Disease. The RSE will establish and position Beckman Coulter’s RUO assays that best align with research and core labs for drug and therapeutics discovery. The RSE will work to achieve this mission by engaging with principal investigators (PIs), Core Directors, and Reference Lab Directors at top research and academic institutions to align Beckman Coulter research solutions with institutional research strategy, goals, and KPIs. The RSE will engage with each of these stakeholders at a deep level to fully appreciate their contribution to neurodegenerative research and identify our assays as a means of successfully execute that strategy. The RSE will work collaboratively with inside sales to find new business, map stakeholders and establish contact with prospective customers.
This position is part of the North America Commercial Organization and will be remote requiring at least 75% travel. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will report to the Sales Director responsible for North America, CCIA. The RSE will fulfill our mission to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, through the implementation of Beckman Coulter assays in the research stage of therapeutic development, while always presenting a positive/professional image reflective of Beckman Coulter and Danaher. A successful effort will result in the sale of Beckman Coulter assays, that quickly accelerate research in neurodegenerative disease. Through execution of the mission, the RSEs work will contribute to Beckman Coulter’s sales goals in immunoassay and make a meaningful impact at the institutions we serve.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ The RSE will make the initial customer presentation and arrange technical meetings with Applications Scientists as necessary
+ Collaborate across cross functional internal stakeholders including inside sales, service, marketing, and med-sci teams.
+ Research and master key industry scientific methods and techniques in the support of strategic commercial initiatives.
+ Meet regularly with inside sales for funnel management and collaboration opportunities
+ May lead functional and/or cross functional teams or projects to build tools, resources and collateral to support neurodegenerative development and deployment.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years of experience, 7+ years of experience with a Master’s degree or Ph.D with 3 years selling research use only (RUO) within research and academic institutions
+ This individual should have a strong understanding of the discovery and development process for neurodegenerative modalities upstream and downstream plus a strong understanding of the analytical lab ecosystem.
+ Solid forecasting skills to ensure targeted demand planning both internally and externally.
+ Analytical and fact-based and able to draw on knowledge and experience at Research Accounts in predevelopment and development of neurodegenerative therapeutics.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Have a strong entrepreneurial mindset and experience building a book of business from scratch.
+ Working ability to partner with service and marketing to maximize value and efficiencies by understanding the customers specific processes

The base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $165,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
