Insight Global is looking for a Data Product Manager to join a large hospitality client in downtown Chicago (or remote). The Product Manager will work on the selection and implementation of an enterprise-wide data catalog to facilitate seamless access to and management of data across the company. As the Data Product Manager, you will spearhead the project from conceptual stages through execution. This role will work cross-functionally with data, IT and business teams to ensure the data catalog supports business needs.
- Develop and define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data catalog selection and implementation, ensuring alignment with overall data strategy.
- Work cross functionally with dedicated team of data engineers, data scientist, solution architect and business partners to implement the data catalog.
- Facilitate the integration of the data catalog with existing data systems and platforms, enhancing data discoverability and usability across the organization.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with software vendors and service providers, ensuring the solutions deployed are robust, scalable, and secure.
- Drive adoption of the data catalog across all levels of the organization, conducting workshops, training sessions, and creating adoption strategies to maximize utilization.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy policies throughout the cataloging process, aligning with company ethical standards and legal requirements.
- Utilize project management skills to maintain project timelines, budget, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient project execution and delivery.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience as a Product/Project Manager with a record of successfully managing or implementing an enterprise or consumer software, preferably a data catalog, data management system or similar technology
(Alation, Atlan, Data World, or Informatica experience)
Strong project management skills with experience in managing complex, cross-functional project in a dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to drive product adoption and user engagement through effective change management and training strategies
Strong understanding of data management practices — data governance, data quality and data security
Experience working with cloud-based solutions and data management tools
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills null
