Job Description
Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Subject Matter Expert to assist with customer coordination, solution development, and identifying key growth opportunities. This position will be remote but will require occasional travel to corporate and customer sites.
Responsibilities
The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will assist GovCIO’s defense services group with customer relationship management, identifying critical growth opportunities, and helping develop solutions to meet customer needs and requirements. Our SME is expected to identify target customers with requirements that align to the business unit portfolio as well as work with existing customers to identify areas for organic growth based on current and future customer mission needs. The SME will be required to assist with growth areas to include both capture and proposal development. Travel is not expected to exceed 25% and will primarily be focused on CONUS locations.
+ Manages customer relationships across a broad, geographically dispersed portfolio.
+ Maintains aggressive efforts to achieve objectives.
+ Prepares manpower staffing plans, including skill and labor mix, to support contract operations. May be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff.
+ Monitors contract performance and provides advisement in support of risk mitigation strategies.
+ Acquires follow-on business associated with areas of responsibility and supports new business development by leading major proposals personally.
Qualifications
+ HS diploma and 15+ years (or commensurate experience) supporting defense tasks:
+ Minimum 10 years supporting USG tasks and programs
+ Experience providing customer relationship support as task, program, or portfolio leader
+ Understanding of risk management and implementing risk mitigation strategies
+ Proven ability to identify and formulate technical and support solutions to meet customer needs
+ Willing to travel to meet with current and potential customers, Business Unit leadership, and key team members in support of the Defense Services Group portfolio
+ No clearance to start, must have ability to achieve Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
