As a member of an agile team of 5-7 engineers, you will be responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining software applications & services for the Patient Care Solutions (PCS) – Digital Eco System. In this role, you will work independently and contribute to the immediate team on all activities of software lifecycle including requirement analysis, documentation/procedures, testing and implementation for the next generation of Perinatal Solutions on the cloud.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

+ Be responsible for designing, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure.

+ Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.

+ Work with team to elaborate user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards.

+ Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities.

+ Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products.

+ Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge.

+ Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.

+ Understand performance parameters and assess application performance.

+ Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using the chosen technology.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience 2 years

Technical Skills:

+ Experience with front-end technologies (Java script, HTML5, CSS, AngularJS)

+ Experience with database tools (JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, Spring Data)

+ Experience with modern tooling (Gradle, Maven, Git, SVN, NPM)

+ Experience with Java, Springboot, and relational/nonrelational databases

+ Experience with data streaming and messaging technologies (Kafka, WSS, MQTT, RabbitMQ, gRPC, Kenesis, Cloudera, Spring Messaging)

+ Experience in an agile environment, or introductory training on Lean/Agile. Aware of and able to apply continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)

+ Experience on writing testable code through comprehensive unit tests, and incorporating test driven and behavior driven development (TDD/BDD)

+ Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) with lifecycle management tools like Helm

+ Experience with cloud computing for scalability and elasticity with a RESTful microservice architecture spanning multiple customers/tenants

+ Experience with AWS cloud services for full application dataflow (ingress, routing, authentication, authorization, security, auditing, and patching)

Other :

+ Must be willing to travel (<10% of the time)

+ Must be willing to work out of an office located in Arlington Heights, IL
