Overview
Grant Park Hiring – *Set Up Mechanic*
Shift : 2nd 3:00pm to 11:00pm*** *$1.00 shift differential*
+ Pay Rate: $23.12 to $24.51

Responsibilities
Job Duties:
+ Setup of a variety of machinery and equipment.
+ Adjust machines for changeovers.
+ Use of a wide variety of tools to make the necessary adjustments.
+ Must get line up and running to standard within time standards.
+ Must be able to perform minor maintenance repairs.
+ Ability to train people.
+ Must be willing to work as a key member in a team environment.
+ Must treat employees with dignity and respect.
+ Must demonstrate excellent communication skills with all employees.
+ Must be willing to work overtime as needed to complete projects.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
+ Analytical, problem solving, and strong technical skills including mechanical, electrical and PLC programming.
+ Strong skills in customer service, interpersonal, oral communication, written communications, teamwork, judgment, motivation, planning, organizing, professionalism, quality, quantity, safety, adaptability, attendance, punctuality, dependability, initiative, innovation.
+ HS Diploma or equivalent; preferred associates degree.
+ 3 + years technician experience within Plastics industry.
+ Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively.

50 miles south of Chicago and close to the Indiana boarder, Grant Park is a village in northeastern Kankakee County, Illinois. Grant Park was incorporated in 1883. In 2010, Grant Park had a population of 1,331. It is part of the Kankakee-Bradley Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The plant was built in 1960’s, Warehouse and Office areas added in 1988, and has approximately 150 employees.
