Job Description

Provide consultative input to Zifo customers involved in Research and Development to help develop their strategic roadmap to achieve their long-term business goals. Meet with stakeholders to understand capability needs, bottlenecks and business priorities. Use information and insights obtained from research and client discussions to provide input into business development strategy. Harness knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, and client needs to prioritize capability needs. Develop high level plan for implementing the roadmap strategy. Help customer present strategy and its value proposition to Senior Management. Engage with industry experts and leaders to understand Industry Focus and direction for the future. Understand industry regulations and compliance requirements (21 CFR Part 11) from regulatory agencies such as the FDA. Review and understand vendors and their solution offerings. Develop comparative methodologies (e.g., Quadrant Maps) highlighting different vendor positioning in the market. Develop use cases and strategies for adoption of disruptive technologies (e.g., Machine Learning, IoT) by vendors. Meet with business subject matter experts and users to understand their business processes. Provide design inputs to development team (ELN, LIMS, CDS, LSH, EDC, etc.). Review the developed workflows and test to confirm if it meets business user’s needs. Reconfigure and update the workflows to meet with business user requirements. Conduct user demos and support user testing. Provide inputs on workflows required and future state of the application. Support user reported issues and work with vendors and applicable stakeholders to resolve the issues. Create user documentation, best practices, and help with user adoption. Create project charter. Define SDLC methodology. Develop change management and risk management strategies. Manage stakeholders and resolve conflicts. Conduct status meetings and deliverables quality management. Coordinate with Global Delivery Team from Zifo for implementation. Telecommuting one day per week is allowed. Domestic travel up to 20% of the time based on business requirements. Travel and work at client sites as assigned. Multiple Positions Available.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Life Sciences, Biopharma, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Information Technology, or a related field plus five (5) years of relevant industry experience.

Alternatively, the employer would accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Life Sciences, Biopharma, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Information Technology, or a related field plus three (3) years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus of five (5) years of described experience.

Requires three (3) years of experience in the following:

  • COTS product configuration, implementation, and managed services support.

Requires two (2) years of experience in the following:

  • Project management and solution implementation;
  • At least one of the following: Drug Discovery functions, Drug Development Functions, Biologics, Cell and Gene Therapy Process, Lab Operations Management, or GMP;
  • At least one of the following: Oracle or SQL Server;
  • At least one of the following: Unix or Windows;
  • Waterfall and Agile;
  • At least one of the following: Data Warehousing Tools, LIMS Systems, ELN Platforms, Research Informatics Platforms, or Reporting Platforms; and,
  • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, or similar office productivity tools.

Telecommuting one day per week is allowed. Domestic travel up to 20% of the time based on business requirements. Travel and work at client sites as assigned.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm.
