Job Description
Charles Schwab & Company, Inc. is hiring a(n) Sr. Specialist – Software Development & Engineering (ref. Code 2024-100136 in Chicago, IL.
Duties: Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Collaborate with automation experts to plan, design, mange, report, and prioritize software test automation solutions with Dev and QA engineers across teams. Promote development best-practices to extend coded test frameworks ,and include conducting code reviews and source control management. Support multiple agile product teams to craft test automation strategies and execution. Support QA and testing teams through script automation for web services, APIs, middleware, and UI. Evaluate new technology or processes to support sustainable and continuous test automation. Maintain tools used in automation development including source control, test management, and release systems. Mentor peers and staff on test engineering for QA. Network with other automation teams within Schwab and derive automation best practices for continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5 years with progressive post-Bachelor’s experience in a related occupation. Related skills may be required.
