JOB SUMMARY
The Finance Intern will be responsible for collecting, distributing and scanning mail and preparing check deposits as received. The Finance Intern will assist the Accounting team in various Month-End Close procedures, NetSuite adoption and testing, and perform account reconciliations. There may be other administrative duties assigned by management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary role will be to manage the collection and distribution of mail:
Collect and distribute the mail
Open and scan letters to the appropriate recipient
Prepare check deposits
Month-End Close Assistance (journal entries, ad hoc projects and reports)
NetSuite testing and compilation of saved reports, queries, etc.
Account reconciliations and roll forwards
QUALIFICATIONS
College student working towards a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance preferred but not required.
Working knowledge of Excel and MS Office programs
Excellent communication skills
Detail oriented
Sense of urgency
Planning and organizational skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to read, analyze, and communicate effectively. Must have the ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of staff.
