Description:

The Program Coordinator in the Department of Medical Education within the College of Medicine will perform administrative duties related to the day-to-day operations for programs in Health Professions Education including the nondegree certificate, master's degree and PhD.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide primary administrative support and project management for the annual health professions education conference, in coordination with the conference planning committee and program leadership to include conference promotion/registration, correspondence with presenters, CME application submission, budget planning, overseeing conference events, and post-conference reporting.
Provide primary administrative support for the certificate in health profession education including program promotion/recruitment, admissions, course registration, and oversight of applicant, student, and alumni data.
Maintain HPE program databases and contact lists (i.e., listservs) for effective communication with students, faculty, staff, and program partners. Prepares reports based on program needs.
Assist in logistical processes for course registration, course evaluations, and various surveys for the HPE graduate programs including compiling summary reports.
Coordinate HPE website updates and enhancements and social media platforms postings (e.g., LinkedIn).
Provide support for committee and other ad hoc HPE meetings including the graduate studies committee and admissions committee by preparing agendas, meeting minutes, and other documents in coordination with committee chairs.
Assist with in-person activities during the weeks of on-campus courses including scheduling meeting rooms, requesting building access for new students, setting up classrooms for in-person sessions, and arranging for equipment and food/catering.
Provide assistance to students and faculty related to the use of learning management and other electronic teaching systems.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree.
A total of one (1) year (12 months) demonstrated work experience with graduate education which includes student advising, course coordination and faculty support for coursework.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced understanding and skills in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
