Position Highlights:
Position: Mental Health Associate - Adolescent/ Young adult psych
Location: Highland Park Hospital
Full Time/Part Time:part-time
Hours: 32 hours; night shift; Monday-Sunday, 11pm to 7:30am; some holidays; rotating weekends
Required Travel: N/A

What you will need:
License: N/A
Education: Bachelor's Degree-Human Services. Associate's degree with three years' inpatient psychiatric experience
Certification: CPR
Experience: With human services such as inpatient psychiatry or direct patient care preferred
Skills: Interpersonal skills, knowledge of psychiatric terminology & theory, empathy

What you will do:
Mental Health Counselor is a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Acts as a partner with an accountable nurse to serve as either a primary or associate caregiver to assigned patients for the extent of the hospital stay.
The counselor collaborates with the professional nurse and multi-disciplinary team members to provide holistic, individualized patient care and therapeutic milieu management.
