Engineers for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL). Interface with multiple teams across multiple disciplines in managing and supporting production business environments. Ensure availability, stability, and reliability of software applications. Perform software build, deploy, release activities in highly available customer facing production and POC environments. Perform pre and post release validation activities to ensure production stability and successful change rollout. Administer application management and deployment tools, working on new technologies migration, support production environment and support the Application Operations group. Perform detailed root cause investigation for all production incidents and implement solutions. Maintain runbooks and technical documentation, write automated scripts for production activities. Technical Environment: Container technologies (Docker, Open Stack, Kubernetes); multi-tier architecture (Apache, IIS); load balancers, APIs; WebLogic, Java, .NET; AWS, Ansible, terraform, Puppet, Chef; SVN, Git; Agile; Splunk, Nagios, App Dynamics Grafana, ICINGA and Google Analytics; Cloudflare, docker CE.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Applications or Computer Engineering or any Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience as an Analyst or Engineer or with software development/ deployment required. Required Skills: Experience with build & release activities using container technologies (Docker, Open Stack, Kubernetes); multi-tier architecture (Apache, IIS); load balancers, APIs; WebLogic, Java, .NET; Puppet, Chef; SVN, Git; Agile; Splunk, Nagios, App Dynamics Grafana, Google Analytics.
