Your Role at Baxter:
Baxter is seeking a Senior Analyst, International Tax Planning focused on international tax planning and M&A to help implement global effective tax rate and cash tax mitigation planning as well as M&A. This role will interact with Tax department members, globally, as well as other non-tax members in Treasury, Accounting, and Legal. The position is based in our Deerfield, Illinois headquarters and reports to the Sr. Tax Counsel-Tax Planning, M&A and US-International Compliance & Provision.

What You'll be Doing:
Quantify and model the financial effect of tax planning strategies and legislative and regulatory developments on Baxter's overall effective tax rate.
Manage implementation of internal tax planning and tax aspects of M&A and business development transactions, including due diligence, transaction structure, and post-closing integration.
Assist with cash repatriation and intercompany financing.
Document and support key tax positions in support of US GAAP and IRS audits.
Assist other areas of Tax as needed, such as audit, U.S. international compliance, and U.S. federal and U.S.-international research projects.

What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field;
Master's in Taxation (MST), CPA, or J.D. preferred.
4 plus years of broad international corporate tax experience; international planning and M&A experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills to interact effectively and independently and with various functions and levels at Baxter.
Strong analytical, time management, and prioritization skills.
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with JDE/Hyperion HFM/FCSS, and CorpTax strongly preferred.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
