Position Summary
The Senior Financial/Treasury Analyst will work with key college, program and administrative managers to create annual budgets, prepare forecasts, prepare financial statements and analysis of financial performance, and other ad hoc analyses as needed. Additionally, the Senior Financial/ Treasury Analyst will perform treasury related activities for the University.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform daily/ monthly/ annual treasury related activities in concert with the Accounting team, including oversight of cash balances and transactions, creating cash forecasts and providing treasury data needed for financial decision making
Act as subject matter expert on all financial matters related to personnel, including fringe benefits accounting
Coordinate work with the Accounting staff and University personnel for accurate financial results
Analyze strategic financial data, key performance indicators and benchmarking data
Provide timely, pertinent and sound financial analysis and reporting for management on a consistent basis to aid in decision support
Prepare monthly monitoring reports on budget performance
Develop routine updates to multi-year operating and capital forecasts
Create and utilize Excel based financial sensitivity models for projections
Prepare annual operating and capital budgets and monitor actual results
Finance administrator to budget and planning software application (Workday Adaptive Planning) including configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting with end-users and developers
Provide training and support for budget administrators in the development and use of financial information and applications
Provide analytical support for university financial operations, initiatives, and strategies
Execute financial or planning projects of diverse natures and complexities with limited supervision by formulating objectives and theories and making suitable judgments where necessary
Act as a backup of critical processes of the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis
Performs other related duties as assigned and/ or delegated

Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with two years of work experience or 5 years of equivalent financial management/ budget administration work experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Possess and maintain current knowledge in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting practices and procedures
Effective technical, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills

Highly motivated team player
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or MBA preferred
Experience in a healthcare, non-profit or university environment
