Description:

Position Summary
Responsible for the evaluation and assessment of injuries and illness, administer treatment and provides care, prevention and rehabilitative services for student-athletes. Additionally, provide practice and competitive event coverage.

Duties & Responsibilities

Administer treatment and provide post-surgery rehabilitation of injuries.
Instruct athletes on injury prevention.
Administer game and practice activities including taping and stretching of athletes.
Provide medical coverage of athletic games and practices. Assess injuries and give treatment.
Act as liaison to between student athlete, parents, doctors, coaches and athletic department.
Research, assess and implement injury prevention and rehabilitation techniques.
Adhere to all University, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree is preferred and a minimum two years of post-BOC certification collegiate health-care experience.
National Athletic Trainers' Association BOC, inc certification and State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation license required. Knowledge of Conference rules and regulations.
CPR, AED, First Aid and safety certifications due upon hire.
Direct knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required. Knowledge of MS office applications

Masters Degree
