A Brief Overview:
The Department of Medicine at NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore), the principal teaching affiliate of The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, seeks an outstanding clinical geneticist who is passionate about providing quality patient care and innovating new ways that care is delivered across a health system. Neiman Center for Personalized Medicine.

What you will do:
The clinic practice focuses on adult genetics but includes care for pediatric patients as well. Clinical duties include cancer risk assessment and genetic testing for hereditary cancer syndromes. In addition, other hereditary disorders including but not limited to cardiology, neurology, nephrology, and musculoskeletal, and management consultation for general genetic syndromes.
As part of the Neiman Center for Personalized Medicine, the successful candidate will have opportunities to participate and lead innovative efforts to incorporate genomics across the health system. These opportunities will build on our successful pharmacogenomics and population-based genomics initiatives in primary care. The Neiman Center conducts cutting-edge genomic research, is a national leader in creating and evaluating computerized family history tools, and has a growing emphasis on incorporating genomic technologies, including predictive analytics, in the clinic and the entire health system

What you will need:
MD or DO required or eligible
DEA License required or pending
Certification: Candidates who are board-certified in a Primary Care Specialty, e.g. FM, IM, OBGYN, and BE/BC in Clinical Genetics, with a strong interest in practicing adult and pediatric genetic medicine (non-metabolic) will be considered. New graduates or candidates who are soon to complete their clinical genetics residency program are encouraged to apply.
