Position Summary:

Dr. Natalia Nieto is seeking two highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellows to work in the laboratory focused on Liver Diseases in the Department of Pathology at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

Applicants should be about to graduate or within one year of completing the Ph. D.

Priority will be given to applicants with expertise in the following areas:

1. Liver immunology

2. Alcoholic liver disease

3. Liver fibrosis

4. Metabolic-associated steatohepatitis (MASH)

5. Gut-liver axis

6. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

A solid background in liver disease, along with a strong publication record and good spoken and written English, are essential to apply for this job.

Please provide a one-page CV only focusing mostly on your publications (longer CVs will be automatically rejected). Candidates will be evaluated based on their CV, interview, ability to write an innovative research project, and three reference letters from faculty members directly involved in the candidate's supervision, one of which should be from their Ph.D. Thesis advisor. Please do not apply if you are unwilling to write a research project, as this is the most important step in the recruitment process.
