Engineering Lead - WM Data Analytics

Technology Lead for the WM Data Analytics function that delivers business intelligence and predictive analytics.

Major Duties:

  • Metrics & Dashboard development based on business needs: develop and implement KPIs, KRAs , Risk and other dashboards as requested
  • Manage contract staff based aligned to analytics projects
  • Alias with the Data Scientists and Data Analytics business teams to ensure data needs for their models and analysis are met
  • Partner with Data Engineering, Data Owners and other Software development teams to ensure data needed for analytics is available in the WM Lakehouse
  • Assist business users and other internal users with acceptance and adoption of implemented solutions to transition to an operating model that will deliver value from the analytics solution
  • Provide support, as needed, on existing reporting and analytics production products
  • Research and advise on technical options regarding decisions related to implementation of analytics needs
  • Carry out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues
  • Display a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity
  • Keep abreast of industry trends
  • Partner with Data and Platform Engineering peers to evolve the analytics platform for GenAI/ LLM needs
  • Integrate current Incorta ungoverned data with the Azure Lakehouse, and reduce total cost of ownership of the platform. Provide an integrated analytics experience for business users



You must have:

  • Demonstrated leadership and cross functional collaboration experience

    • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritise tasks
    • Ability to attract and retain top talent
  • Expertise in building data products and data sets to meet data analytics and data science needs
  • Experience in configuration, maintenance and optimization of on prem and cloud data solutions (Oracle, Marklogic, Data Stage, Azure ADLS/ Synapse), Cloud Infrastructure and Data Workloads
  • Extensive knowledge of application development and support processes, usually having experience with multiple system technologies.
  • Hands on Technical experience with various Data engineering tools, utilities, and frameworks such as Azure Delta Lake/ Synapse, Snowflake, Databrick, IBM DataStage, Informatica, Oracle PL/SQL, and Master Data concepts. Additional application development utilizes Java Spring Frameworks, server-side JavaScript, and NoSQL data utilities
  • Ability to read data models and explain data Entity-Relationships to ETL developers, python and java developers.
  • Strong domain knowledge and experience working with a wide range of Financial Services / Wealth Management technology platforms.
