Title: Senior Cloud Network Engineer

The Role:
The Senior Cloud Network Engineer is seen as a techno-functional professional in Network Engineering, Cloud Networking, Collocation services, and Private Data Centers with experience in managing engineering functions in leading strategy to implementation.
-The engineer will be in charge of the operations and solutions of NT Global private data centers, as well managing multiple public cloud providers networking, and developing and supporting of the multi-cloud global transit network. The engineer of this critical role will have proven experience supporting and driving transformation; although you will be expected to support the network cloud engineering operations team with complex troubleshooting of issues as required.
-You will have experience of working in high impact, mission critical environments where service matters and exceeding expectations is the norm.

Key responsibilities:
-The primary areas of responsibility include ensuring there are defined standards in place, manage the technical lifecycle of products and services, and deliver change/transformation against created designs; always ensuring a smooth transition/handover to Network Operations.
1. Cloud Network Design: Design, implement, and optimize network architecture within cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to meet the organization's performance, security, and scalability requirements.
2. Network Security: Develop and maintain robust security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls, to protect cloud-based networks and data.
3. Network Automation: Implement automation tools and practices to streamline network provisioning, configuration, and management tasks.
4. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize network performance, addressing issues related to latency, bandwidth, and throughput.
5. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network-related issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to services.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, software developers, and system administrators, to ensure seamless integration of network services with applications.
7. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures for testing, diagramming, and documenting development, pre-production, and production environments at the network layer.
8. Compliance: Ensure that network configurations adhere to industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
9. Capacity Planning: Plan for future network growth and scalability by assessing resource utilization and making recommendations for capacity expansion.
10. Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage third-party vendors and technologies related to cloud networking where needed.
