Job Description Summary:

Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for interacting with various business areas to determine automation needs and provide ongoing systems support. Provides ongoing business direction and technical guidance to less experienced staff. Directs and performs prototype systems development and solutions. Assigned to multiple projects of varying priorities and applications. Develops or maintains computer programs including designing, coding, testing, debugging, and installation as needed.

Job Description:

In depth technical knowledge of daily financial and/or investment industry usually acquired through experience in related areas is required to manage application knowledge and the transition of knowledge to production support.

The position provides management and direction to various production support teams supporting multiple trading applications. Works independently and/or works with the team as required.

Manage the ongoing application transitions from development teams to production support teams. The role requires organization skills, business analysis, Custody process flow and domain knowledge to ensure a quality transition.

Knowledge / Skills:

Knowledge of financial and trading applications is required to review application knowledge documents to ensure quality transition to support. Knowledge of various front, middle and back office application designs, usually acquired through related experience, is required to evaluate process flow documentation. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Knowledge of ITIL foundations is highly desirable.

Major Duties:

1. Provides guidance, management and direction to teams and resources that support multiple mission critical front, middle and back office Custody processing applications.

2. Consults with other system partners in the Investments and Trading applications areas regarding new projects for the purposes of transferring knowledge documentation to the multiple production support teams. Ensures and manages the applications transition from the development teams to production support team.

3. Manages the process of knowledge transition by creating templates, processes, and procedures to support knowledge acquisition.

4. Maintains Service Level Agreements (SLA's) with business partners and Operational Level Agreements (OLA's) with other systems partners.

5. Refines and maintains production support procedures and processes to help minimize incidents. Identifies and develops pro-active maintenance procedures.

6. Manages concurrent transitions of various complexities at any point during the year.

7. Acts as a liaison with various development teams, change management and production support to monitor, analyze and communicate project implementations.
