Description
The Operations Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
Supervises, prioritizes and adjusts work assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion of all activities for Environmental Services (EVS).
Supervises and directs the Resource Coordinators and front-line staff.
Ensures that service excellence is delivered and performs service recovery whenever necessary.
Facilitates the onboarding of new staff and manages the department orientation and training programs.
Works with management to develop and document policies and procedures for EVS, and ensures accountability to work standards.
Creates and conducts competency assessments for new department employees.
Evaluates assignments, schedules, supplies, equipment and methods, and initiates appropriate action supportive to continued quality improvement.
Provides mentoring and coaching to the EVS Resource Coordinators and front-line staff.
Resolves complex or critical situations involving technology, customers, staff, and other EVS leadership personnel: consults with manager for guidance as needed.
Participates in interviewing, hiring, training, progressive discipline, dismissals, and performance appraisals.
Supports quality assurance programs for the department.
Schedules staff for adequate coverage to meet the needs of the department.
Maintains fiscal responsibility in the oversight of the day to day operations.
Acts as a liaison on behalf of the manager.
Utilizes departmental metric reports to measure department performance in comparison to departmental goals.
Participates in leading staff huddles on a regular basis
Attends and actively participates in manager/supervisor meetings.
Reviews and edits automated time reports for accuracy.
Develops tools to support staff and enhance efficiency.
Monitors daily activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Assists manager with special projects as required.
Represents the EVS Department and participates in special meeting as directed.
Maintains integrity in EVS Epic data through staff compliance in process.
Maintains the ability to respond quickly under pressure when problems arise.
May act as a resource and point of contact in the absence of the Manager of Support Services.
Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:
At least 1 year of work experience as a supervisor in EVS or comparable position
Strong leadership skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to organize and think independently.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Process Improvement skills
Preferred:
3-5 years of experience in relevant field with Supervisory experience
