WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

Drive high velocity new & existing product changes through the certification process.

Ownership of lab equipment development and purchase to improve lab testing efficiency, accuracy, and capability.

Set-up of new and modified testing on electrical connector products involving temperature, amperage, torque and tensile strength measurement to assure compliance with industry-standard safety and performance test methods.

Working in an accredited test laboratory with a team of skilled Lab Technicians and Test Engineers.

Contributing to a successful Lab and Product Approvals team in multiple locations.

Satisfaction that your test systems and procedures assure high quality electrical products.

YOU HAVE:

Strong mechanical and electrical competence, enjoy hands-on as well as lab equipment programming work assignments.

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (ideally 3+ years) in similar role and industry.

Thorough work habits capable of making observations during testing and communicating them verbally or in writing to internal customers.

Methodical and focused approach to document test system wiring diagrams, use instructions, flow maps of key lab processes and troubleshooting diagrams.

Competency with test systems software (for example, LabVIEW) and are able to contribute to test algorithms.

Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve test equipment anomalies and the knowledge to discern the best course of action considering regulatory compliance and repair costs.

Ability to cultivate a collaborative environment with open communication, identifying problems & establishing resolutions.

Responsibility to create capital expense approvals for new test equipment & test equipment repair.

Experience with test equipment calibrations to align with accreditation requirements.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 and 17025 quality systems and auditing processes.

Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs with one arm, carry 30 lb across a 50 ft room unassisted and kneel to access test connection points. Ability to stand for long durations while setting up tests.
