Continental Casualty Company (Chicago, IL) seeks a Sr. DevOps Engineer w/ a bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related and 5 (five) years of experience as a software developer, software engineer, DevOps engineer, research engineer or related. Independently design, deploy, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD and DevOps processes using automated tools across VM and container ecosystem (Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform) on private and public cloud platforms. Manage and standardize CI/CD setup procedures for monitoring deployment process performance, testing, error handling, reporting, archiving, and optimization. Define and enforce established branch management process on source control system and recommend improvements. Build and deploy applications using technologies such as Docker, Jenkins, Git, Bamboo Bit Bucket, and Maven. Create deployment plans for various platforms including deployment of releases to the production environment and help the project teams troubleshoot any issues. Use Python to write reusable components to automate provisioning of environments and deployments. Integrate various platforms using REST APIs and custom built components. Liaison with technology teams to troubleshoot complex issues in development, testing, and staging environments to help scrum teams remove impediments. Develop and monitor application alarms in production systems and troubleshoot across platforms and application or system domains. Work with infrastructure, development, and architecture areas to recommend architecture and process improvements based on fact-based data. Evaluate new technology options to help modernize the current environments, and review vendor products for fit within the current and future CNA environment(s). Mentor and guide less experienced associates. Must have some work experience with each of the following: 1.) Design, deploy, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD and DevOps processes using automated tools across VM and container ecosystem, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform on private and public cloud platforms; 2.) Use Python to write reusable components to automate provisioning of environments and deployments; and 3.)
