Department: Univ Athletics-Volleyball
Salary/Grade: EXS/5

Target hiring range for this position will be between $50,000-$55,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Job Summary:
The Director of Operations for Women's Volleyball provides operational support to the women's volleyball team. This position manages the day-to-day administrative & operational functions for the women's volleyball program including, but not limited to, travel logistics, planning recruiting and alumni events, and assisting with promoting and marketing the women's volleyball team. This position will also assist with social media management and content creation for the women's volleyball team.
*Willingness and ability to work non-traditional hours including early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends. Travel required.

Specific Responsibilities:
Oversee, organize and coordinate all aspects of both home and away game day management and logistics including, but not limited to, team meals, ground transportation, flights, hotel accommodations, team practice sites, etc.
Assist with budgeting by maintaining record of expenses and reconciling team travel expenses in a timely manner.
Assist with game day operations; communicating with game day officials (umpires), submitting pass lists; setting up and organizing video, sports information director duties, etc.
Plan and execute special events such as tailgates, alumni weekend, parents' weekend, scout day, official/unofficial visits, etc.Responsible for managing registration and RSVP lists, coordinating food and beverage, and event set up/tear down.
Serve as the liaison between visiting school representative and Northwestern Women's Volleyball.
Liaison with Development team to assist with fundraising and alumni and donor relations.
Manage and coordinate the schedules of the players to assist with special requests and events.
Organize and implement a student manager program.
Serves as the liaison to various departments within Athletics, assisting the coaches with completing paperwork and following up on requests for information.
Assist Marketing with marketing and promoting Northwestern Women's Volleyball, including game day promotions and ticketing; collaborate and execute social media marketing strategy in with Athletics Communications.
Responsible for adhering to all Department and University policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA.
Responsible for adhering to all Department and University continuing education initiatives and required certifications and trainings.
Manage Northwestern Women's Volleyball social media channels within Northwestern University Athletics branding guidelines.
Propose and implement social media campaigns and strategies to better drive social media engagement and click-thrus.
Create content for Northwestern Women's Volleyball social media channels with photo and video, supplementing content created by Northwestern Athletics sports information media/marketing departments.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Possess ability to communicate effectively one-to-one, in small groups and in public speaking contexts; writes precise, well-organized emails, letters and proposals while using appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
Effectively performs duties and responsibilities; displays attention to detail; supports organizational policies; anticipates demands/pressures of assignments and adjusts accordingly.
Previous experience with a Division I women's volleyball program preferred.
Knowledge of rules and regulations of the NCAA, Big Ten Conference and Northwestern University preferred.
Ability to work cooperatively with others and effectively interact with diverse populations.
Ability to establish engaging relationships within and across racialized and other marginalized communities.
