Description:

Position Summary
This position will work under the guidance of a Principal Investigator (PI) performing general complex lab experiments and data collections and recording techniques. They will play a pivotal role in our full stack development projects, primarily focusing on EEG data.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist Principal Investigator (PI) and researchers with all aspects of research project development and design.
Manage the lab maintenance including preparation of reagents, management of laboratory biosafety and animal protocols, and ordering supplies.
Supervise and train graduate and undergraduate students in laboratory protocols.
Review and contribute to grant applications and Manuscripts
Extensive knowledge of reading and characterizing neurological disease animal model and mouse brain surgery from seizure.
Conduct experiments and manage human EEG tissue, tissue data and EEG animal analysis under supervision of PI. These approaches include epigenome wide association studies (EWAS) and single cell RNAseq analysis of immune cells. Techniques include purification of genomic DNA from human samples.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in science or related field required. Master's degree in science preferred.
A minimum of 5 years related research experience.
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods.
Proficient in specific lab research techniques.

Preferred Qualifications
Extensive Knowledge and experience with tissue and data collection
Excellent knowledge of software such as office, Photoshop and biostatistics.
