We are seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of Data Governance Manager I/II (Policy). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of authoring data governance policies/standards and establishing compliance for Data Governance and Data Privacy Initiatives. As a member of the Data Governance team, you will work closely with the Privacy office, Office of Ethics & Compliance, Records Management, Legal, and Technology teams to ensure compliance with Data Governance Polices/Standards and Consumer State Privacy Laws. As the Data Governance Manager, you will be accountable for managing standard operating procedures and compliance processes to guarantee effective Data Governance compliance, improve data quality and ensure the safeguarding of Consumer personal information.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop and implement data governance framework across the organization, focusing on enhancement of data quality and safeguarding sensitive information through change management, authoring, and implementing data governance policies and standards

+ Collaborate with Data Governance Office and stakeholders to measure and monitor compliance to the established policies and the implementation of the necessary corrective actions.

+ Drive design and operationalization of a Data Governance and Privacy Compliance framework.

+ Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise.

+ Collaborate with the Data Privacy Team to understand evolving laws, rules, and regulations and provide guidance to the business and technology teams on the implementation of related requirements to maintain compliance and strategic alignment.

+ Serve as a liaison between functional and technology teams to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.

+ Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements.

+ Communicate progress, escalations, and issues to key stakeholders.

Can hire a candidate at Grade 18 or 19. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

+ Qualifications:

+ 5-7 years of experience with data management and governance tools, such as Alation, Collibra, or Informatica, and Compliance tools such as Archer.

+ Experience in authoring data governance policies, procedures and standards and ensuring adherence by business leads and users.

+ Experience with US Consumer State Privacy Laws and Data Privacy Compliance.

+ Familiarity with Power BI or other data analytics and visualization tools is preferred.

+ Experience in software development environments using Agile/SCRUM is preferred.

+ Prior experience in the Pharma industry is preferred.

+ Strong understanding of data governance and data privacy frameworks and best practices is necessary.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required.

+ The ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment is important.

+ Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements related to data governance is expected.
