HR Generalist - Healthcare Technology - $35-40/hourLocation: Chicago, IL
Our client is a dynamic healthcare technology company, a leader in innovative solutions that enhance patient care and streamline healthcare operations. This is a hybrid work environment requiring 2 day/week in the office in downtown Chicago on a highly collaborative and harmonious team.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR operations, including benefits administration, leave of absence management, and compliance. This role requires someone who can work independently and efficiently, especially during critical periods such as open enrollment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Benefits Administration: Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits. Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefit options and enrollment processes.
- Leave of Absence Management: Handle all aspects of employee leave of absence, including FMLA, disability, and other statutory and non-statutory leave policies. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain and update employee records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
- Open Enrollment: Lead and manage the open enrollment process, providing clear communication and support to employees. Ensure a smooth and efficient enrollment period by coordinating with insurance carriers and other vendors.
- Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries and concerns, providing timely and accurate information. Support and guide managers on employee relations issues and performance management.
- HR Operations: Assist with other HR operations and projects as needed, including recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR operations experience, with a focus on benefits administration and leave of absence management.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software.
- Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
