Job Description

The Data & Reporting System Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the reporting infrastructure for The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers Command Office. This role will ensure the integrity and efficient operation of data reporting, providing timely and accurate information to support the organization's mission of rehabilitation and support for individuals in need. Additionally, the role includes managing volunteer and contract systems to ensure seamless operations and data integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting:
Develop and generate regular reports to support decision-making processes.
Create and maintain dashboards for real-time data visualization.
Produce customized reports to meet the specific needs of various departments.
Ensure timely delivery of all scheduled reports.
Document and maintain reporting procedures and guidelines.
Analytics:
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform strategic initiatives.
Perform data mining through custom and standard reporting and predictive analytics to support program evaluations and outcome measurements.
Use statistical methods to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
Present findings and insights in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Data Quality:
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data through regular audits and validation checks.
Develop and enforce data quality standards and procedures.
Implement best practices for data entry and retrieval to maintain high data quality.
Create and maintain data quality documentation, including data dictionaries and glossaries.
Data Integrity:
Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies promptly.
Monitor data processes to ensure they comply with organizational standards and regulations.
Conduct root cause analysis of data integrity issues and suggest corrective actions.
Coordinate with Program Director to ensure data integrity across all systems.
Volunteer Management:
Oversee the data systems related to volunteer management.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of volunteer information.
Develop and maintain procedures for managing volunteer data.
Create reports and analytics related to volunteer activities and contributions.
Provide support for volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives through data insights.
Contract Management:
Oversee the data systems related to contract management.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of contract information.
Develop and maintain procedures for managing contract data.
Monitor contract compliance and performance through regular reporting and analytics.
Coordinate with legal and procurement teams to ensure all contract data is up-to-date and accurate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in data management, reporting, or a similar role.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical users.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a non-profit or social services environment.
Certification in data management or business intelligence (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
