Job Description
Fleet Manager (Chicago, IL). Vehicle Acquisition: Procure new vehicles to expand and optimize our fleet. Maintenance Scheduling: Create and manage a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all vehicles. Emergency Repairs: Arrange for urgent or critical repairs when necessary. Route Optimization: Develop effective transportation routes and schedules. Team Coordination: Coordinate the activities of our drivers and maintenance specialists to create efficient employee work schedules. Licensing and Registration: Oversee vehicle licensing and registration requirements. Driver Compliance: Ensure that all fleet members are appropriately licensed and up-to-date with required training. Driver Monitoring: Regularly monitor drivers to verify adherence to schedules and safe driving practices. Recruitment and Training: Search for, hire, and train new drivers to meet operational needs. Reporting: Provide regular reports to management covering budgeting, scheduling, maintenance, and fleet performance. Cost Efficiency: Develop strategies to reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency. Client Relationships: Cultivate client relationships and expand our client base. Business Development: Identify and assess new business opportunities, leveraging available resources to discover prospective clients and contacts. Sales Funnel Management: Create, manage, and nurture a sales funnel of potential prospects. Client Engagement: Initiate introductions and greetings to new clients and contacts added to the system on a weekly basis. Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with marketing opportunities and prepare marketing materials as needed. Sales Reporting: Generate quarterly sales reports as required. Documentation: Prepare and submit all expense reports, call reports, and assigned projects promptly. Communication: Keep management and sales staff regularly informed of all relevant activities.
