Job Description

Fleet Manager (Batavia, IL). Oversee all logistics aspects of operations, be responsible for analyzing logistics processes to identify cost-effective solutions, implementing efficient vehicle maintenance programs, and ensure seamless coordination across various operational elements. Specific duties include: analyzing all facets of logistics to determine the most cost-effective strategies; implementing and managing maintenance budget to ensure optimal vehicle upkeep; developing and managing a comprehensive vehicle maintenance program; procuring and evaluating logistics software for enhanced operations; procure vehicles and equipment as required for operational needs; supervising and collaborating with the safety manager to oversee the safety program; implementing improvements and changes to the safety program through the safety manager; overseeing vehicle maintenance and repair activities to maintain fleet performance; managing vehicle diagnostics to promptly address and resolve issues; managing parts purchasing and sourcing processes; entering into contracts with drivers and manage their contractual agreements; providing capacity planning for both equipment and drivers to optimize operations; ensuring shipping 
accuracy and coordinate timely deliveries; developing and implementing driver training programs to enhance skill sets; managing the logistics operations to ensure optimal efficiency; monitoring and tracking driver performance to ensure compliance and effectiveness; establishing and managing driver communication programs and policies; implementing and managing route optimization strategies; overseeing fuel management to minimize costs and environmental impact; ensuring compliance with all licensing and governmental agency regulations; managing the setup and utilization of ELD-tracking systems; maintaining strict compliance with Hours-of-Service regulations. Must have one year’s experience in the job offered or in a similar position in logistic field. Specific experience must include each of the following: working with logistics software and tools such as Dat Load Board, Truckstop Load Board, FMCSA portal, or Clearing House; vehicle maintenance and repair practices; negotiating and contract management; route optimization; ELD-tracking systems and Hours and Service regulations.
