Job Description
Medline Industries, LP in Northfield, IL is seeking experienced Lead Business Analyst(s) to support and implement solutions to business challenges in specific product technical areas. This position will drive improvement initiatives that help the software development team mature its practices, staying current on industry trends and best practices and promoting their use as applicable. Individual(s) will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of computer science principles and concepts, as well as hands-on software development experience, to perform the duties of the position.
Job responsibilities and duties include:
Research, plan, design, code, test, deploy, and document high-quality software.
Mentor team members to facilitate their technical and professional development, utilizing practices such as career planning, code reviews, design workshops, and knowledge-sharing presentations.
Be ready to assist the software development team managers in activities that drive the software development organization as a whole to function more efficiently.
Provide software architectural guidance to other developers.
Communicate system issues and impacts to business stakeholders in clear non-technical terms.
Collaborate effectively with the software development team in our partner office in Pune, India.
Assist the team manager in determining scope and impact of enhancement requests, estimating effort, developing detailed project plans, managing cutover tasks, and communicating status as required.
Build scalable, unit testable solutions for our website applications and do code reviews.
See big picture for interconnected systems, building resiliency, and when your solutions move to production how they will be operationalized/monitored.
Collaborate with internal customers to determine the most efficient, cost-effective approach to meet their business requirements.
This position does not supervise any other employees.
Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, or any related IT or Engineering field of study, plus at least three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.
In lieu of the above-stated primary education and experience requirements, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, or any related IT or Engineering field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.
Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, or knowledge with the following:
1. Python or .NET
2. HTML and CSS
3. Demonstrated experience in secure coding practices, unit testing, performance optimization, and creating resilient systems.
4. Object-oriented design and development concepts and practices
5. Demonstrated experience working with junior developers providing guidance and mentorship.
6. Agile development practices
7. PowerBI
8. Database Management Systems and JIRA
No travel required. Work from home (WFH) benefit available; must be in the office at least 2 days per week.
