About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Director to join our team. This role supports a group of manufacturing facilities across the United States and Canada. Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Director is responsible for leading a team of HR Site Leads to deliver people-focused initiatives, apply sound HR practices in both represented and non-represented environments, and lead strategic projects that move our business forward.

You will add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

+ Developing and executing Human Resources initiatives that drive an enhanced employee value proposition and the delivery of businessunit/functional strategies

+ Partnering with cross-functional leadership to identify improvement opportunities and drive effective change management

+ Providing sound guidance to HR site leads and functional partners – through collaboration with centers of excellence -in the areas of employee/labor relations, compensation, benefits, talent management, organization development, and staffing for in-scope manufacturing facilities

+ Driving organizational effectiveness through the educated application of human resources programs, principles and practices that drive employee engagement and positive business outcomes

+ Ensuring compliance and risk management by remainingcurrent with applicable employment laws and regulations and supporting leaders in interpreting policies and collective bargaining agreement language

+ Utilizing strong project management skills, oversee the planning, execution, and completion of strategic HR initiatives that align with functional objectives

Important Details: This is a full-time remote-based role with frequent travel (up to 50%). The ideal candidate will be based in Illinois or Texas.

About You :

You’ll fit right in if you have:

+ Minimum of 7 years of progressively increasing responsibility in a Human Resources role, with at least 3 years of direct management experience (with multi-site experience strongly preferred)

+ Bachelor’s degree strongly desired in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related discipline

+ Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines with a focus on employee relations, labor relations, human resources analytics, staffing,performance management and employee engagement

+ Proven talent developer

+ Exceptional project management capabilities
