Job Description
KTS is seeking a Buyer who is a motivated problem solver and is able to meet the following qualifications and skills.
Responsibilities:+ Manage Purchase Requisitions, generate Purchase Orders, and oversee Procurements as a whole
Identifying, aggregating, prioritizing, balancing, and managing supply chain resources and requirements.
+ Provides procurement support for proposal efforts.
+ Prepare and release purchase orders as required to approved suppliers following KTS purchasing policies and processes in a timely and cost-effective manner.
+ Review proposals, negotiates prices and terms, analyze trends, verifies delivery, maintain necessary records, and assists with post-award audits.
+ Maintain accurate data records in the company’s ERP system for assigned categories.
+ Maintain up-to-date item pricing, ordering parameters, and purchasing documents to ensure an effective and efficient procure-to-pay cycle.
+ Monitor inbound shipments to ensure that goods and services are delivered on-time and at the right location.
+ Resolve situations related to material shortages, supplier quality, delivery delays, and/or pricing issues; Facilitate material returns for credit or replacement, price revisions, invoice modification, receiving documentation, as well as corrective actions with suppliers.
+ As required, research and evaluate sources of supply based on the total cost of ownership.
+ Weekly and monthly KPI reporting of production for assigned plants.
+ Review forecast changes and adjusting production accordingly. Coordinate with suppliers on raw materials availability as a result of production changes.
+ Review potential shortages daily and communicate possible shortage information to appropriate departments.
+ Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen or able to obtain citizenship
+ Must have strong analytical skills and ability to work with Mathematical concepts
+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
+ Defense buying and/or manufacturing experience
+ Excellent communication skills (written and oral) across all levels of the organization
