Job Description

SOLAR ELECTRICIAN

Pay: $35-$45 (depending on experience and skill level)

Description :

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment as necessary.

- Capable of bending, threading, and installing rigid conduits from ½" to 4".

- Interpret electrical single-line diagrams and construction sets to accurately determine the scope of work.

- Install the electrical components of PV solar systems.

- Ensure all electrical work is well-crafted and adheres to the current NEC and applicable local codes.

- Lay solar DC/AC circuits to array fields neatly and professionally.

- Set up backup battery systems.

- Install EV charging stations.

- Conduct residential service enhancements and repairs.

- Diagnose and fix system issues and electrical problems.

- Keep strict quality control over tools, vehicles, and materials required for job duties.

- Accurately record materials used and maintain proper documentation on work orders for installations.

- Comply with all PPE and safety regulations according to OSHA and Fresh Coast Solar standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- Dependable transportation for commuting to the shop or job sites as needed.

- Over 5 years of experience in electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair.

- Prior experience leading projects and supervising team members.

- Ability to work on various rooftop angles and surfaces, involving frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, and maintaining balance.

- Comfortable working in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces, which involves kneeling and crouching.

- Familiarity with national and local electrical codes.

- Follow instructions and adhere to performance standards.

- Strong organizational, time management, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.

- Willingness and comfort with safely working at heights and on rooftops.

- Prepared to work in outdoor conditions, including extreme noise, heat, and cold.

- Experienced in replacing electrical services and electric work.
