Location: Bolingbrook, IL (Chicago area) - Hybrid

This is a hybrid position primarily based in one of the above listed US office locations. Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Creative Specialist to join our Computershare Communications Services (CCS) department. CCS provides integrated customer communication solutions worldwide. We consult, design, build and orchestrate smart communications solutions across traditional and emerging channels to help clients drive increased customer engagement and optimize operational efficiencies.

A role you will love

Creative Specialists are responsible for designing and communicating strategies and solutions for CCS customers and strategic projects. Our team's mission is to place the customer experience at the heart of everything we do. The Creative Specialist specifically also looks for opportunities to add value through consultative design to help improve customer experience, engagement, response rates, and sales.

Other Key Responsibilities:
  • Design creative and functional client concepts and solutions through daily collaboration and decision making with a cross-functional team including solution consultants, project managers, developers, sales, client service and subject matter experts
  • Create printed output such as posters, brochures, letters, etc. and provide final print graphics for use in-house and by vendors
  • Create email mockups and work with digital team to design aesthetically pleasing and functional email campaigns
  • Work within Computershare's CommsX methodology - CommsX transforms essential communications by aligning customer experiences with business goals
  • Conduct workshops with internal and external clients for the purpose of gathering design requirements
  • Provide design consultancy services to enhance the consumer experience and meet client objectives
  • Recommend and implement updates to documents / emails / etc. to ensure delivery of consistent, on-brand design across all channels
  • Format logo files, client brand colors, and any original imagery to meet specs
  • Present findings and share best practices and share subject matter expertise with the broader team via formal and informal means
  • Provide basic training and team support
  • Maintain current knowledge of graphic design trends and participate in ongoing skill development programs

What will you bring to the role?
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (For example, Communications, Media, Design, etc)
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Comfortable working in a PC environment
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of layout and typography skills
  • Experience illustrating concepts by designing a rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size, style and related aesthetic concepts
  • Ability to understand business processes (internal and external) and the impact that a proposed communication solution will have
  • Experience facilitating internal and external client workshops, preparing proposals, creating presentations and designing sales collateral
  • Ability to identify and help implement opportunities for automation, process, design, file format, and technical improvements
  • Technical ability to critically analyze, synthesize, and present information in well-constructed graphics and documents
  • Experience working in the financial services industry, or a highly regulated industry
  • A strong working knowledge of print and digital technologies
  • Proficient in using Adobe XD is preferred
