Professional Consultant- Art Focus
The Professional Consultant - Art (PCA) is an 'on call' role. The position will report to the Project Coordinator Manager and work under the guidance of the SSL Art Subject Matter Experts and will focus primarily areas defined below. All activities will be contracted on a per diem/project basis. Contracts are usually 1 year and require 8-10 workshops or professional development events through the course of that year. PCA's are compensated by project and/or workshop, professional development or conference.
Principal Focus Areas of the PCA:
Art Education Hands-on Workshops/Professional Development
Average 25 art educators
For individual districts or groups of districts
3 - 6 hours, - full day workshops
Minimum 30 - 45 day lead time from approval to event
Art Education Conferences and Exhibits
Minimum 90 days lead time from approval to event
Booth Set up/Take Down
Exhibit Hours
Development and Creation of Art Lesson Plans and Artwork
Develop age-appropriate written lesson plan using the assigned medium and focus
Create lesson plan artwork required to accompany lesson plan
Essential Functions
Lead professional services and workshops for schools and districts using a combination of core and self-created templates.
Act as a pre-sales and post sales resource to Sales by providing presentations.
Make recommendations for additional services or implementation strategies that will contribute to customer success and year over year revenue
Assist with the development of courseware and training materials
Collaborate as a part of broader services team to delivery high quality training in North America.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university, preferably Art Education or Fine Arts
Presentation and Classroom experience
Computer and Microsoft Proficient
Role occasionally requires lifting of 50+ pounds
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel to customer sites as necessary including overnight travel.
