Job Description

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Crate Maker- 3rd Shift. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 11:00 pm – 7:00 am. The rate for this position is $21.38 per hour plus a $.50 per hour shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

The main responsibilities of the crate maker are to construct wooden crates for B-Line products to be shipped to customers and to lift materials into the crate.

+ Strong Math skills

+ Read and interpret shop orders

+ Perform shop order confirmations

+ Safety & Quality Training necessary but not limited to:

+ Hand Saw Certification

+ Powered Industrial Truck (walk-behind)

Primary Equipment

Main responsibilities, but not limited to:

+ Table saw

+ Circular saw

Primary Equipment and Tools

+ Saws

+ Nail gun

+ Tape measure

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

+ No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates who reside within a 50-mile radius of the Troy, IL facility will be considered.

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Shipping and Receiving experience

+ Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing, production, or distribution experience

Position Criteria

+ Perform basic math.

+ Write legibly.

+ Work independently as well as in a team setting.

+ Good communicator.
