Key Responsibilities:

The Director, Executive Talent Acquisition is a critical position that will lead a large team and create a strategy to attract top talent that we need to achieve our objectives.

This role is responsible for building and developing the team of Executive Recruiters and Sourcers. As United Airlines continues to grow and scale, this role will be integral in helping the team shape and evolve our recruiting and sourcing strategies for executive talent. This role is to inspire them to do their best work – developing them to be world-class recruiters and putting them in the best position to be successful.

+ Build and develop relationships with executives and act as a trusted advisor to drive talent strategy and create measurable business impact

+ Lead with an agile mindset, focused on problem solving through creative solutions, and thrive in an environment where growth and change are the only constants

+ Implement enterprise-wide strategies to ensure equity at all stages of the recruiting process, constantly seeking ways to ensure access to opportunity for all qualified applicants

+ Effectively partner with an ecosystem of team members, including the business, HR, FP&A, and TA programs

+ Champion the data driven recruiting mindset, using data and analytics to tell stories and drive sponsorship for critical initiatives

+ Bring a strong voice, functional expertise, and fun personality to the TA leadership team

+ Sponsor and drive projects across the TA Roadmap to drive us towards innovation and world-class recruiting

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

+ 12+ years of relevant experience

+ 7+ years’ of experience leading a TA function (i.e., corporate functions, product, engineering, etc)

+ Inspirational leader who encourages team to take on new challenges and over-deliver on expectations

+ Demonstrable track record of compassionate leadership with strong coaching skills

+ Passionate commitment to developing talent on the team

+ Ability to mentor executives and leaders throughout the business on Talent Acquisition strategy and standard processes

+ Experience driving enterprise-wide strategies within a recruiting organization

+ Uses data from a variety of internal and external sources to tell a story and drive investment in TA strategies and initiatives

+ Innovative approach: ability to design, build and pilot initiatives that drive desired outcomes

+ Can scale successful programs

+ Strong track-record in inclusion recruiting with a track record of success in building strategies to attract and hire under-represented talent

+ Voice of leadership/inspiring leader who translates conviction to inspiration

+ Knowledgeable about current market trends and competitive data

+ Experience with the oversight of data integrity, reporting requirements, and key accountability metrics

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

+ Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

+ 5+ years of experience leading an executive recruiting function

+ Proven experience managing high-performing individuals
