    Description:

    Summary

    Hands-on role that supervises and coordinates activities of union production workers to execute production plans. Responsible for monitoring, measuring and controlling quality and productivity expectations. Responsible for oversight of safety best practices in all areas of the shop floor. This position will be responsible for supervising operations involving equipment assembly.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Participates in interviews and the hiring of direct work force in conjunction with established company policies.
    • Ensure employees have adequate training to support operational processes.
    • Performs employee evaluations to determine skill level, which results in defining training requirements and progression within the job classification system.
    • Manages employees in accordance with established company rules and regulations and administers consistent disciplinary action accordingly.
    • Directs daily activity in connection with UAW contractual agreement to support the current build schedule.
    • Follows company policies and enforces consistent regulations in the following areas – ISO9001, Safety, Ipsen's Quality Management System and all associated work rules.
    • Assists in resolving work related problems and/or grievances and assists employees in solving work related problems.
    • Communicates with workforce to support company goals as well as to interpret feedback to increase productivity and efficiency of workforce.
    • Studies production schedules and estimates labor requirements for timely completion of job assignments.
    • Assigns employees to job based on skills required of the job and manages progress related to quality, efficiency, and on-time completion.
    • Organizes work areas in a neat and orderly fashion to obtain maximum efficiency.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that production targets are met and to resolve any design, material, or other issues.
    • Interprets specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers and assigns duties accordingly.
    • Ensure that production targets are met on time and within budget.

    • Possess strong active listening skills.
    • Ability to professionally communicate to various levels within the organization both verbally and in writing.
    • Possess proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, & Excel.
    • Possess the ability to learn ERP software.
    • Possess a high level of professionalism when interacting with employees, management, or outside individuals.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully juggle competing priorities.
    • Possess a high level of attention to detail & accuracy.
    • Possess strong influencing, problem solving and creative thinking skills.
    • Possess strong integrity and ethical standards.

    Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Associate or bachelor's degree or other advanced education preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years of proven, progressiv
