Job Description:
Perform tasks related to all project engineering and management activities for assigned construction project. Serve as the on-site technical representative for the inspection of contractor construction activities, daily coordination with the contractor and other entities, and recommending acceptance of completed work. Analyze applicable codes, standards, and specifications and monitor construction activities for compliance. Perform general inspections of the construction work for compliance with all contracts. Monitor the contractor’s site performance and prepare Inspectors’ Daily Reports (IDRs) and Daily Construction Reports (DCRs) and complete appropriate inspection checklists for work under their supervision. Document any quality related issues that result in non-conformance reports (NCRs) or Quality Deficiency Reports (QDRs) in OCR. Inspect materials for compliance with contracts, schedules, and field orders. Participate in Requests for RFIs and correspondence. Review schedules, change orders and budget tracking.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field and five (5) years of progressive experience in construction.
Will accept a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field and three (3) years of experience in construction in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience requirements.
2. Additional experience must include: Procore; MS Office; AutoCAD; MicroStation; construction material testing; material inspections; SWPPP inspections; Airport projects; Fuel lines; Tank farms; Roads and bridges; stormwater systems; utilities; and vertical construction.
3. Must have a valid US driver’s license, OSHA 30hr certification, and Erosion and sediment control certification.
4. Must be able to work at unanticipated client sites.
5. Must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
