SR IT BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST – SAP – RECORD-TO-REPORT: Abbott Laboratories / Waukegan, IL

Provide in-depth technical expertise and direction in the development and support of client area application systems/programming requirements and processes (e.g. new, enhancements or maintenance) for SAP projects, including SAP S/H4 HANA or ECC projects. Responsible for the preparation of application system specifications, and in the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost-effective application solutions. Maintain compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Serve as an SAP RTR Sr. Business Systems Analyst to develop, test and implement significant new solutions, or operational improvements or devise new approaches to problems at the division/business unit. Responsible for working with design, planning, and implement, test, and validate configuration changes for SAP functionalities. Conduct investigation activity/research and give technical advice on the adoption or integration of new technologies and their business impact for RTR related items. Lead in the development of standards and procedures and publish/communicate findings via IOI’s, presentations, white papers, etc. Interface with business operators/ key stakeholders regarding current business processes, facilitating requirements and document analysis for business process descriptions and use cases.  Review, validate and enhance design, conduct performance monitoring and capacity planning. Lead Unit Testing and System Integration Testing. Install, test and upgrade releases and associated products. Evaluate and recommend new financial process and system related software, utilities, and tools in areas such as SAP Finance Accounting, SAP Controlling, SAP Treasury and SAP Risk Management. Design and test integrations across multiple systems including SAP ECC, SAP S4 Hana, HFM, Workday, ALM, Central Finance (CFIN) etc. Set the strategy for implementing new technologies in specialized systems (e.g., SAP Project Systems). Effectively set options to change the way the program works by employing RTR configuration responsibilities. Accountable for total project scope, budget, completion within budget constraints and schedules completion date. Accountable for successful and timely completion of all tasks/projects under direct and matrix control. Perform post completion audit of project after implementation to verify expected benefits vs. costs, both development and operating. Up to 25% domestic and international travel is required.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a closely related field of study with at least 5 years of progressive, professional experience in: (i) working with design, planning and implement test and validate configuration changes for SAP functionalities; (ii) interfacing with business operators/ key stakeholders regarding current business processes, facilitating requirements and document analysis for business process descriptions and use cases; (iii) leading Unit Testing and System Integration Testing; (iv) SAP Finance Accounting, SAP Controlling, SAP Treasury and SAP Risk Management; and (v) S/4 HANA or ECC. Up to 25% domestic and international travel is required.
