Job Description
The Director of FEP Innovation, Planning & Execution leads the delivery of and execution of the Federal Employee Program's innovation and planning portfolio, including the delivery of the annual planning process for the organization, evaluating new business opportunities, coordinating delivery of insights that informs planning and roadmap development, overseeing governance, and assisting with strategic imperatives in support of the program's overall success. This individual will work collaboratively across the organization with various leaders to ensure priorities and investments by the organization are aligned with FEP's long-term vision and roadmap.
Drive strategic planning for FEP and downstream facilitation of roadmap development with business unit leaders
Drive evaluation and pursuit of new business expansion opportunities - e.g., Medicare, ancillary products, overseas, adoption of AI
Oversee coordination and delivery of strategic insights as a primary input into strategy planning for FEP, roadmap development, as well as key FEP priority initiatives
FEP Governance oversight and executive planning support
Assist with ad-hoc requests including (but not limited to) executive content creation support for the FEP Board of Managers and other key initiatives as determined by leadership, lead development and coordination of topics internal FEP Manager's Meetings, etc.
Education
Bachelor's degree in health care or related field or equivalent work experience
Masters Degree
Advanced degree in healthcare or other relevant concentration or equivalent work experience
Certifications
Fellowship training in the Academy for Healthcare Management or similar industry knowledge/experience.
Experience
Progressive experience within the health care industry encompassing related disciplines, with a minimum of 3 years management experience
Prior experience with strategy development and analytic work, with additional experience and current focus on applying towards evaluation, development, planning, and execution opportunities
Experience in project management and prioritizing and executing on multiple projects simultaneously
People management experience and effective teambuilding
Experience in creating C-suite level project deliverables
Skills
Prior experience with strategy development and strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills; experience with execution a plus
Ability to work in a highly cross-collaborative manner and operate within a matrixed environment.
Ability to generate actionable insights from analytical work
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong facilitation and presentation skills with senior executives
