VML is seeking a Associate Account Manager provides day-to-day executional support to the account team with emphasis on project management. They ensure agency success by keeping internal teams updated and on track with projects and by creating and maintaining key project documents and assets. What you'll do: Partner with project management to:
Develop project schedules
Ensure project workload is fully estimated, signed and billable
Route and obtain approvals on copy, layout, artwork, media plans and production materials
Create and maintain electronic files of key project documents and assets on asset son server
Track financial forecasting and flag any potential income variance to senior management
Communicate job status, scheduling changes and creative changes to project team (e.g. account, creative, production, finance, etc.) through conference reports, status reports and creative revision requests
Assist with competitive analysis
Check in-market displays, campaigns, events, and report findings
Research and report on competitors' marketing strategies and tactics
Act as the initial point of contact for vendors; collect vendor capabilities; coordinate vendor presentations to the agency; create and maintain vendor database for account team
Assist in tracking and updating budgets and coordinating financial reporting
Provide administrative support to account team, including creating/updating client org charts and contact sheets, scheduling client calls, coordinating client meeting logistics, taking notes in client meetings and compiling presentations
Enter time report sat minimum once a week and expense reports within 10 days of incurred expense
Handle other duties as assigned by supervisor  Who you are:

Effectively proofing own and others work to ensure accuracy
A problem solver: Able to anticipate potential problems and obstacles to project success, communicating concerns, and developing solutions What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
1-2 years of advertising or marketing experience (internship considered), preferably in an agency setting
Understanding of the agency process and department roles and processes
Foundational knowledge of the client's business, objectives, products, and category
Able to communicate clearly, thoroughly, succinctly and in a timely manner both verbally and in writing; follow up on outstanding issues; ask relevant questions
Able to build relationships and collaborate across teams, departments, and vendors to successfully accomplish work
Actively and effectively managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously, some with short turnaround times
Proactive approach, demonstrated through actions such as:
Providing regular and thorough project updates to manager and team
Identifying ways to improve agency and team processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook What we offer:
