Edelman Holdings network, is seeking a Vice President to join our new and growing wellness and beauty group. The Vice President should bring deep expertise within the beauty and personal care categories along with solid experience in account management and client relationship building to be leveraged across several of the team's new, highly visible accounts.

This role will lead client relationships, drive strategic planning and tactical execution, as well as core tasks such as coaching team members, and budget management.

Responsibilities

    • Building trusted client relationships, rooted in open dialogue, mutual understanding, and respect; serve as client lead, providing daily strategic counsel, and ensuring quality execution that aligns with each client's business goals.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in writing skills across internal and client correspondence, communications plans, client presentations, and press materials.
    • Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving outreach plans, message development, management of events, coordination of media familiarization trips, effective pitching, and training of spokespersons on speeches and presentations and growth of contact network.
    • Generate both quick-turn creative solutions as well as longer-term programming, demonstrating agility and flexibility in your approach.
    • Understanding of earned measurement and analytics to set client program goals, and manage execution against them.
    • Serve as inter-agency lead contact, working with other agencies on behalf of client, when appropriate.
    • Oversee junior staff's work products to ensure quality and consistency.Help mentor, coach and support team members and ensure you and your staff are constantly developing abilities
    • Manage day-to-day client budget issues to resolution. Manage process of developing client scope of work document, with support from finance and project management.



Basic Qualifications

    • At least eight years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields
    • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience



Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working with beauty or personal care clients strongly preferred
    • Agency experience working in collaboration with an IAT to lead the development and execution of integrated programs strongly preferred
    • Strong understanding of how to communicate with teams and work from both client and agency sides
    • Track record of leading profitable programs that have advanced client business goals
    • Superb people manager and have experience successfully managing resources and budgets as well as helping win new business
