SRE Technical Lead
Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead with experience in SRE, developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our Leads have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. We are looking for 7-10 years of overall experienced candidate.
BFS domain exp. is required.
Should have very good communication skills.
Knowledge in Wealth Management and Asset Management is desirable.
Should be able to assess and analyze work with client independently.
Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict.
Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum.
Ability to determine what is scrum and what is not.
Experience with successful Agile techniques.
Ability to work with and lead a team.
Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction. Qualifications:
BS/BA or equivalent.
7-10 years of application development experience using modern technologies and architecture, including experience collaborating with technology teams.
2 plus years of Site Reliability Engineering experience. Application SRE and Infrastructure SRE.
Good Understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud.
Strong understanding of REST APIs and how to use them in practice.
Strong Experience with continuous integration and collaboration tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, Bitbucket, GitHub and Confluence.
Good knowledge and Hands on CLI - Bash, Linux, Azure CLI etc.
Experience in some of the following technologies: Java, J2EE, Cloud Computing (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS), RESTful interfaces, GIT, Gradle, Maven, NPM, Spring (Spring Batch and Spring Boot), CSS3, HTML4, React.js, Node.js/JavaScript, Oracle PL/SQL, and Kafka.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a solid technical background are essential as is the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate can explain technical issues in simple terms and translate business needs to technology teams and back.
Experience working effectively with diverse groups around the world, including IT management, technology staff, business partners, consultants, vendors, and clients. Salary and compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $95K - $130K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
