Job Description

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assists and trains other technicians in solving technical problems such as diagnosing component and equipment issues related to ANS products.
  2. Assists with production systems test and repair as needed.
  3. Works with engineers to prepare service bulletins for distributors.
  4. Works with design and applications engineers, develops, and implements test fixtures and test procedures for ANS products.
  5. Provides test aids, annotated schematics, etc. for use in the production and service area.
  6. Analyzes test methods to reduce production set up times.
  7. Ensures that equipment and test fixtures are well maintained and ready for use as required.
  8. Dispositions nonconforming material and interfaces with vendors to resolve quality problems.
  9. Keeps design engineering abreast of product defect trends and suggestions for possible product improvements.
  10. Assists in coordinating FWS service department, perform service repair, and assists with production tests as required.
  11. Follow safety rules and keeps work area clean and orderly.
  12. Calls attention to excessive or recurring defects and notifies supervisor of unusual equipment or operation problems.
  13. Participate in new product technical training and implementation, including learning to program and test new products.
  14. Assist with cycle-count activities as the need arises.
  15. Works with the Planner and Supervisor to identify and correct order issues.
  16. Completes final packaging of finished products.
  17. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Must have two-year trade school education (or equivalent) plus a minimum of five years work experience in a closely related industry.
  • Be able to read and understand assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Ability to relate well with customers and engineering staff.
